Fall Videos with Thermal Camera Dataset uri icon

resumo

  • [NOT PUBLIC DATASET] This dataset consists of 30 thermal videos capturing fall events, recorded using a thermal camera under controlled conditions. The dataset was created with the participation of 10 volunteers, who performed the action of falling. The objective was to collect thermal video data that can be used in the development and evaluation of fall detection systems, particularly in contexts where visual privacy is a concern and thermal imaging offers a non-invasive alternative. All recordings were carried out in an indoor environment with consistent conditions. Each participant contributed to multiple recordings, and different types of falls (e.g., forward, backwards, lateral) were performed to provide variability within the dataset. The videos were recorded at a resolution of 640 × 480 and a frame rate of 30fps, using a Seek Thermal Compact Pro camera. All data was collected with the informed consent of the participants. The dataset aims to support research in areas such as elderly care, health monitoring, and intelligent surveillance. All recordings were conducted in Bragança, with data collection completed on June 2023.
