abstract
One of the aspects of the d'Roda no Ar project1 consists in the creation, production and performance of original songs in Portuguese, but it is in its pedagogical application that it is presented here. After a musical experience with the participation of some students from the music courses of the School of Education at the Polytechnic Institute of Bragança (Portugal), which resulted in the award of the First Prize in a Song Festival2, this project deserved the enthusiasm of the general student community and, as such, it is now being
implemented in the Music Ensemble class of the degree in Music in Community Contexts 3, materializing in the realization of a creative process that starts with the elaboration of musical arrangements and ends with musical performance. The methodology is based on techniques of analysis and musical composition, sound experimentation and technical-expressive improvement rehearsals, through a teaching-learning process
where the teacher is simultaneously the author/composer and the students are simultaneously arrangers/performers. The purpose of this presentation is to demonstrate this creative-pedagogical process and the potential implicit in the pedagogical relationship, that brings the artist / art closer to the learner / knowledge for the promotion of pedagogical and artistic initiatives that promote and integrate the students' artistic interests.
